Does your company need ekoserve?

    

Your company needs ekoserve if:

  • You want staff to have individual email capability
  • You want all company data backed up reliably and regularly

  • You want to employ home-based workers
  • You want all staff to have internet access without multiple phone lines and modems
  • You want a server that doesn't need an on-site technical expert to care for it

  • You want the flexibility for staff to use any PC in the office
  • You want a full featured but low cost server.

If you have less than, say, 5 PCs in your office you can probably cope OK without any network server at all. But you should still consider ekoserve if you want reliable remote access or other features only a server can deliver.

When comparing with other advertisements for office network servers there are several things to bear in mind:

Manufacturers' advertisements for servers are usually for the hardware only.

Microsoft server software (the only realistic alternative) for a small business is over £1000 and allows only 5 connected users. Additional fees are charged as more users are added.

Installing and configuring a server is well beyond the ability of most PC users. Experts from an IT company are likely to cost several hundred pounds a day. Setting up a server with all the facilities of ekoserve would take those experts weeks - we know because we did it.

Administering a Microsoft based server would be very difficult to most people. The Microsoft product is designed to meet every possible eventuality which it does well, but that makes it very complex from an administrator's point of view. Server administrators usually need a training course lasting several days.

By contrast ekoserve is delivered as an instant, complete solution - the hardware including backup drive and ADSL router, the server software installed and set up for your business, and all the PCs in your office re-configured to connect to it. By virtue of ekoserve's standardised solution for small and medium sized businesses, the administration is minimal and so simple that a trustworthy, untrained member of staff can do it.

The standard ekoserve is just £4995 plus VAT. That includes delivery and installation as described. Our best guess is that this figure is less than half what you could be asked to pay elsewhere. ekoserve is only available in the UK at present.
