Ekos Consulting Limited - Updates

Investors in People - big changes, big benefits

New approach to Investors in People assessment

Investors in People is ever-evolving. The past year has seen big changes to the way in which Investors is delivered and organisations are assessed.

Gone is the requirement for a 'portfolio'. Gone is the 'pass or fail' attitude towards assessment. The whole process is now much more customer focused, less time consuming and hassle-free. The aim is to bring greater and more lasting benefits to you, the customer.

There is now far more co-operation between the key players in the delivery network (Advisors, Assessors, TECs, etc.). Assessment is now viewed as a continuous process. Advisors and Assessors work in partnership to ensure that customers receive the most appropriate advice and support on the road to recognition.

New Investors in People indicators

What's more, the Investors in People Standard itself is soon to change.

The existing IIP indicators are being replaced in early 2000.

The revised Indicators are more condensed and easier to understand. The emphasis is now on learning rather than training. The requirements for specific bits of paper have been removed (though such bits of paper - business plan, training and development plan, etc. - are still proof of good practice).

Again the aim is to benefit you, the customer- by making Investors in People more cost-effective and accessible.
