This is an example of how Ekos delivers what their customers really need, rather than supply a standard solution.

The Kent-based client is a small recruitment agency. The staff have limited computer skills and little desire to undertake a lot of training. They wanted a web site they could update frequently regarding available jobs and candidates - without a technological battle.

The conventional approach would be to upload database extracts: far too technical for this client. Ekos found another way - Matthew Ashton re-programmed the web site to provide a unique facility.

Our client can now update their web pages as often as they like - they click a secret part of the page, fill in a password and are presented with a duplicate page they add or change the words as they see fit then click the Finish button. Their web page is immediately updated. Even a one-finger typist can do it because the programming looks after all the formatting and page layout.

As far as we know, Ekos is the only company offering this facility. We are now implementing the same technique for a public house so they can update their web site with an events schedule, food menu and special beers list.
